Happy Father’s Day

I’m in Miami, so I got to spend the day with my dad. There were gifts, and cards, and calls in the morning. And in the afternoon, there was a drive to downtown Miami and a late lunch at Il Forno.

I’m lucky to have the dad I have. At one point in my life, I thought everyone had a dad and had a dad like mine: present, loving, involved, caring, giving, and smart. I grew to realize this is not the case, and that has made me feel even luckier. I know I am the person I am today because of my parents and the opportunities they made available to me, and for that there are no words.

Thank you, thank you for being my dad!
