Hi, I am Polín. This is a nickname my dad gave me when I was little, and it has stuck all these years. I am originally from South America, lived in NYC for nine years total and now live in Chicago. I moved for a job and even though I’ve grown to appreciate my new city, I still miss NYC mostly every day.
I started this blog to keep in touch with my friends and family, who are scattered all over the world. And through it, I have not only been able to let them know about my vacations, relationships, thoughts, jobs, and general life experiences, but I have also opened a door to making new friends and be part of this blogger community, I’ve grown to love.
Welcome to my blog, I hope you enjoy reading it. And don’t be shy, leave a comment, and an URL if you’re a blogger too. I’m addicted to reading blogs and would love to explore yours.
Cheers!

Hi Polin =) I look forward to getting connected to you here and reading more of your future entries. Good luck with everything and NYC will miss you very much!!
Dear Polín–
I am currently working on a book about oracular practices, and would like to quote a selection from your account of the Umbanda consulto in Caracas. It’s an excellent example of the similarity in the kind of answers given by this method and others I’ve been studying. You can contact me at the e-dress given above.
Sincerely,
Diana L. Paxson
Dear Polín-
